Meeting Minutes - 4/23/20

All 10 Board Members present for meeting held via Zoom.

Mark addressed upcoming Board Elections in July: Mike, Mark, Eddy, Billy up for re election. Jamie will run as next VP. Heang becomes President in July.

- Bylaws need to be amended to include Board expansion and creation of non-voting regional reps. These changes received strong support in membership survey last fall. Membership to vote on amendments in July at Greensboro Clinic.

- David is going to register/collect dues at Clinic.

- Website update: Add link to tournament list/dates; place for coaches to post openings, school/team info/links. Jamie volunteered to create openings spreadsheet. Mark to review cost of adding more contributors to the website. Currently only two people allowed as contributors under current plan.

- NC/SC duals- new process for selecting team, earlier in 2021.  Billy updated Board about 2020 All Star Match and suggestions for selecting future teams.

- David Perry gave update from Tra: Disney duals not allowed due due to dead period. NCHSAA Board meets next week- Tra seemed optimistic about adding higher seed for host teams in 1st/2nd rds of playoffs (Saturday) and allowing non qualifying teams to compete on 1st Sat of dual playoffs. At the national level, weight classes are likely changing, states may have a choice in numbers and deciding women's weight classes. More information on weight classes coming later this spring.
